Content Note: Title from writing on reverse. Additional writing on reverse: "These were guards". Corpses of the guards lie on the banks of the canal. Their shoes have been taken. Liberators stand and walk along the path between the camp fence and the canal. Inside the camp fence, a crowd has gathered (some survivors are visible.) Some people wave their hats, perhaps at the man with the camera squatting on the path. Numbered 47 on the reverse.
