Location of interview: Highland Park, New Jersey. The case file also includes photocopies of the following pages from History of the Third Infantry Division in World War II edited by Donald G. Taggart (Washington: Infantry Journal Press): 274, 276, 343, 344, and 345.

Content Note: Transcript of an audio recording. Schifter served with the T Force (Intelligence Unit) of the 12th Army and then was attached to the 1st Infantry Division. He witnessed the liberation of Camp Dora. Later, Schifter was a member of the U. S. Holocaust Memorial Council. Place of interview: Washington, D.C. The case file also includes two addresses given by Schifter: "Presentation at Adas Israel" (May 5, 1978) and "Address by Richard Schifter, President of the Maryland State Board of Education, at Maryland Conference on Holocaust Education."

Nadich served as a Major (and later as the advisor on Jewish affairs for General Eisenhower) with the Theater Headquarters, European Theater Operations, and was involved with the Displaced Persons Camps. He also visited Dachau. Place of interview: New York, New York. He donated his papers to the Center for Holocaust Studies, Brooklyn, NY (Call number RG 387.).
